Global Prime News is committed to producing high-quality journalism that is accurate, fair, independent and accountable. This document explains how we report the news.
1. Accuracy
Accuracy is our first commitment. Every fact in a Global Prime News story is checked against at least one primary or authoritative source before publication. When we cannot independently confirm a claim, we attribute it clearly to its source. If we make an error, we correct it in line with our Corrections Policy.
2. Sourcing
- We prefer named, on-the-record sources. Anonymous sources are used only when essential for newsworthy information that cannot otherwise be obtained, and we explain why anonymity was granted.
- We seek multiple independent sources for significant or contested claims.
- We avoid republishing claims from social media without verification.
3. Independence
Our newsroom operates independently of our business operations. Advertisers, sponsors and commercial partners have no influence over our editorial decisions. Sponsored content is clearly labelled and produced separately from our editorial team.
4. Fairness & Balance
We give people accused of wrongdoing a fair opportunity to respond. We avoid loaded language and aim to represent the strongest version of every relevant viewpoint, even ones we disagree with.
5. Opinion vs. News
Opinion, analysis and commentary are clearly labelled and visually distinct from news reporting. Reporters do not write opinion on subjects they cover as news.
6. Conflicts of Interest
Staff disclose any financial, personal or political interest that could create a conflict with their work. Where a conflict exists we either reassign coverage or disclose it openly in the story.
7. Use of Artificial Intelligence
Some Global Prime News stories are produced with the assistance of AI tools to research, draft and edit content. Every AI-assisted story is reviewed by a human editor for accuracy, fairness and tone before publication. We do not publish AI-generated content that has not been reviewed by a human editor. We will continue to update this policy as the technology and best practices evolve.
8. Plagiarism & Attribution
Plagiarism is a firing offence. We credit original reporting and link to original sources where appropriate.
9. Image and Video Standards
We do not digitally manipulate news photographs beyond standard corrections of colour, contrast and cropping that do not change the meaning of the image. Illustrations and AI-generated images are labelled.
10. Updates and Removals
We update stories when significant new information becomes available. We do not silently rewrite history — material changes are noted at the bottom of the article with the time of the update. Removal of a published story is rare and requires a clear ethical or legal reason; when we remove an article, we leave a note explaining why.
11. Reader Comments
Reader contributions are welcome. We moderate for civility and to remove unlawful content. Reasonable disagreement is not censored.
12. Accountability
